Building a Film Culture
Reintroduce the Grant process: provide seed funding to enable projects that foster the creation of jobs related to filmmaking production, enhance the marketing of Idaho’s tourism regions, people, history, overall quality of life, and supports Idaho’s filmmaking community.
To promote the state as a filming location for feature and independent film, commercial shoot, still shoots, music videos and documentaries for the overall economic benefit of the state.
Once a production has come into our state, BFF assists in permitting, location, crew and production services, hotel accommodations, familiarization tours and location/scouting services.
Develop an inter/intrastate internship program that adds to the professional experience of filmmakers wanting to work in the movie image arts field.
Provide accurate research and data collection that will provide a clear view of the creative climate in the state.

Two track educational programming.
Create ongoing educational outreach designed to inspire the next generation of Idaho’s filmmakers with a K-12 focus.
Community based outreach designed to enhance and grow current skill set. To nurture and support the development of our resident crew base, as well as our resident filmmakers.
Increased Access to Technology and Resources
Provide the community with a brick and mortar space: Supports the use of media in our community as a means of self expression and cultural advancement by providing equipment, editing suites, production space and an alternative screening venue at subsidized rates.
